Biography

Born in 1979 in Lausanne, Switzerland, and raised near New York City and in the heart of the East Coast, Light One grew up immersed in the pulse of urban culture. Fascinated from an early age by walls covered in urban art, raw expression, and the energy of the streets, he discovered in this visual language a powerful way to bridge emotion, faith, and society.

Over the years, his artistic journey has evolved into a visual dialogue between spirituality and urban life. Drawing from both European sensibility and American street influences, Light One’s work explores contrasts — light and darkness, tension and harmony, the sacred and the ordinary. Blending figurative and symbolic, his work is crafted with spray paint, markers, and brushes, revealing both intensity and finesse.

Through his art, Light One seeks to reveal traces of the divine in the everyday and to spark reflection in the heart of the city. His creations often evoke timeless themes — love, justice, hope, and redemption — presented through a contemporary lens. Each piece becomes a modern scripture, a fragment of light born from concrete, color, and faith.

All pieces are primarily hand-crafted; @digital indicates the selective use of digital techniques.
